Having just started out as a student lawyer, my pay is significantly less than what it will be once I am licensed. However, I am fortunate enough to be able to live rent free at my mom's house until I'm licensed, so that's allowing me to save much more than I would otherwise be able to.
So, here is what I anticipate spending over the course of the next few months as I transition from student to full fledged lawyer. Figures are based on my actual after-tax pay, which is $1260 bi-weekly.
I think the amount I'm currently saving is decent, but I'd like to do better. I'm always looking for ways to save more, and would welcome any suggestions.
